Midland's Jonathan Lauderbach '91 appointed to the Albion College Board of Trustees
Albion, MI (07/01/2026) — Jonathan E. Lauderbach, a partner at Warner Norcross + Judd LLP whose career spans more than three decades of judicial service and private practice, has joined Albion College's Board of Trustees for a three-year term beginning July 1.
A proud alumnus of Albion College, Lauderbach earned his Bachelor of Arts in history in 1991. He went on to receive his Juris Doctorate from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in 1994, the same year he was admitted to the Michigan Bar.
"I'm honored to serve Albion College as a trustee," Lauderbach said. "My alma mater provided a solid liberal arts education that set me up for success in law school, on the bench and in my legal practice at Warner. I look forward to working with President Webster, his leadership team and my fellow trustees to ensure future generations can continue to benefit from all that Albion College has to offer."
Lauderbach's legal career is marked by a rare combination of judicial service and private practice. After beginning his career as an attorney with Currie Kendall, PLC in Midland, Michigan, he was elected in 2006 as a Circuit Judge for Midland County. From January 2008 until his resignation from the bench in March 2013, he served as Chief Judge of the 42nd Circuit Court, the 75th District Court, and the Midland County Probate Court.
In 2013, Lauderbach returned to private practice and helped found Warner Norcross + Judd's Midland office, where he represents public and privately held companies in commercial disputes in courts and arbitration panels throughout the United States. An experienced mediator and arbitrator in commercial cases, he also serves as a hearing panelist for Michigan's Attorney Discipline Board. Because of his extensive contacts in state and local government, he is frequently called upon to advise government officials and conduct investigations related to elections and campaign finance matters.
Lauderbach brings to the Albion College Board of Trustees a deep commitment to his alma mater, a distinguished record of public service, and a career defined by thoughtful, principled counsel.
