Canton Resident Michaela Adams Inducted into Albion College Athletic Hall of Fame
Albion, MI (11/02/2026) — Albion College is pleased to congratulate Canton resident Michaela Adams, inducted earlier this month into the College's Athletic Hall of Fame. A member of the Class of 2005, Adams graduated from Albion with a degree in economics and management.
Just the third Hall of Fame inductee whose primary sport was softball, Adams pitched 478 career innings. She struck out 397 batters and threw an incredible 10 shutouts to post 43 career wins - all-school records at the time. Adams was chosen every year as an All-conference athlete in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association and once made the National Fastpitch Coaches Association all-region second team. Her single-season record of 122 strikeouts stood for 18 years and paved the way to Albion's appearance in the first-ever MIAA tournament.
Adams helped coach the 2006 squad before embarking on her career as a speech-language pathologist. She currently works for Canton Public Schools.
